The developments being carried out in Grenoble and in Orsay on the detectors
are studying and optimizing the scintillating plastics (matter,
cutting), the light guides (angles of the bends, attenuation), the
photomultipliers and their associated bases. The majority of the
studies, started in 1998, are now completed.

The scintillators, provided by Bicron, have been cut and polished by
the UFP company.
